fundraiser.

So yesterday was one of my dear friend Sarah's fundraiser for her trip to the Dominican Republic. She is going with a group from her school (Hope Internantional) called "Campus Crusade for Christ". She is going to share the gospel and start a spiritual movement amongst the youtha nd college aged kids. She will be going this May 23- July 3. So she hosted a benefit concert at our church with musical acts, dances, silent auctions, baked goods, and much more. It was such an awesome night with some VERY talented performers. I was so honored to be apart of this night.

I also took some videos of some of the acts. They did an amazing hula praise dance as well. I am dying to be apart of it this time around because my schedule was just too busy the last time around. But its taking a long time to upload so I'll try to do that next time.

These were just some of the acts! They all did such an amazing job! I am especially proud of my friend Brandon whom I NEVER heard sing or play guitar before.

The fundraiser went soo well. There was a good amount of money that was raised for the night, we even had an extra special fundraiser where we "auctioned off a day with Sarah" haha I only wish there was pictures taken of that, with all the fighting and yelling and the completely red face Sarah had. It was a complete surprise for her. I hope she had an amazing night! I am soo proud that she is following the call on her life to go to another country and speak the gospel! I know that God is going to bless her in immense ways!! She is such an amazing girl who is going to do GREAT things for Christ! Please keep her in prayer as she takes this great journey and

Catching Up.

Wow, I haven't had any time to blog, my life has been soo busy lately, but it feels good to sit down and go through some pictures of these past two weeks and remember whats been going on. Well last week was Easter Sunday!! Happy Resurrection Sunday guys!!! It was such an awesome time at church last Sunday. We had done a dance and I'm sorry we didnt get any pictures or vidoes taken. :( But it went so well! It was an awesome service to remind ourselves of the amazingly humble and loving act that Jesus made that weekend soo many years ago. It was very much needed to rekindle with that moment of why I fell soo in love with Jesus, because He died for me but not only that, He resurrected so that I may be in a covenant with Him. AH!! He's just soo amazing and never stops amazing me. I hope you guys were as blessed as I was :) Well here are some photos to show you of how my Easter went.

I made Bryan wear his purple suit, doesnt he look soo handsome? ;)

Of course some pictures with the girls. God has truly blessed me with some beautiful sisters.

We went to Bryan's grandma's house and spent some time with this little cutie. Her name is Aria. She's just soo precious.

I absolutely adore this picture.

It ended with a typical "summer" night volleyball game at the Tejeda household. Of couse there were shananigins, it wouldn't be the same without them.

Overall it was a great day! I am soo overwhelmed with how blessed my life is. I have an amazzing boyfriend and hilarious friends who I completely see as my family. I couldnt be more happier. How was your Easter?

This Week.

So, this past week has been a crazy one for me! I haven't been able to blog because I got sick this past week. I'm pretty sure I overstressed my body out. So to start, just a little overview. If you dont know, I've been trying to get back into shape. And I decided to take the 'insane' road to get there. I decided to start the "Insanity Workout DVD's". WOW!! They don't lie when they say its insane haha! Well anyway this has been my second week into it. My week schedule was getting kinda crazy. I would get home from and 8 hour workday and get straight to working out (each video being about 45 mins). Then from there, I would take a quick shower and try to get ready for church. I was going out at night with my damp hair to church for either dance or worship practice. And I wasn't eating to well during the day, some days not at all. So I knew that this was all going to catch up to me, but by the time I realized it, I was already getting the symptoms. So I've been sick since Thursday and I'm still barely getting better. Please keep me in your prayers :). It's been a crazy week, but  I'm soo thankful to God for my AMAZING boyfriend who stood with me and took care of me!

So, I guess there was some pluses to being sick. I was able to spend some great quality time with Bryan, who always make my days better by him just being there.

I was also able to catch myself up on How I Met Your Mother!! I'm on season 5 now! If you haven't seen it yet, I completely suggest you do soon! I'm obsessed. Bryan and I catch ourselves saying phrases from the show throughout our days.
Personally, I think Barney is my favorite character, sure he's horrible to women, but he's soo funny and actually has a great heart :)

..well this picture speaks differently haha!

Anyway, I was also able to get away Saturday night and have a date night with Bryan. We went to Souplantation because a Vendor at my work had given me two passes to go, and since we were broke, we decided what the heck, why not. Well it wasn't quite what I had remembered as a kid. And even worse, the lady that sat us decided to wear the EXACT same thing I was wearing. I will NOT be wearing that outfit anytime soon. haha! It was a good laugh though. We also went to go catch "The Hunger Games" at Whittier Village! We really enjoyed it, except the fact that it was pretty cruel to see these young people kill eachother so visciously!! :(

But today turned around. I was finally able to go to church!!!!! It was soo cute because the kids did a choir and had us all cracking up! Especially this little boy named George. He is such a HAM!!! haha

After that I was able to spend lunch with some guy friends, who of course always have their eyes on the "ladies" haha. From there we headed to another friends house to spend some time playing games and play some tennis. It really got us excited for summer just thinking of going to the beach finally!!

And now I am finishing my night with Bryan and some take out Cheescake Factory dinner (a giftcard, were still broke haha) waiting to watch Mad Men. Always a perfect way to end my night.

Speaking of, does anyone else wish we could go back to dressing this classy everyday? :)

Well I hope everyone else had a great weekend. What plans did you have?
Goodnight now I'm off to go see the new episode!

a new start.

So I'm sort of new to this whole blogging thing, but the thought of it has always intrigued me. I love being able to express myself through words and photographs, so this seemed pretty perfect for me. Let me begin by giving you a little background info.

I'm Annelise and I'm 20 years young. I came into my "twenties" wanting new experiences, changes, and journeys. I have soo many dreams and aspirations of becoming an artist, a writer, a fashion designer/stylist, a hair dresser, a photographer, a missionary, a song-writer, a worship leader that travels the world!!! Wow, the list goes on, I never even noticed. I started this blog to prove to myself that I can go after my dreams and I needed somewhere to start. So I started by beginning this blog.

I dedicated my life to living for God and all that He has for me. Through meeting my Saviour, I was able to meet some amazing people, and one especially amazing person who has changed my life completely.

This is my boyfriend Bryan. We met at church and grew as friends through the worship team we were both apart of. I know it can be completely cheesy, but he has truly made my life better. He showed me how much love I can actually have in my life when I felt hopeless. I thank God for Him everyday and I only pray that someday soon we are able to join as one with God and begin the rest of our lives together.

There's always something going on in my life, to say the least. I am overwhelmed with the amazing memories my life has been blessed with and I'm excited to express them through this blog. I hope you enjoyed my first blog, it's not much but it's a start. And I'm definitely ready for a new start. :)
